You'd be hard-pressed to find a list of midsize sedans that does not include the Honda Accord. Fun to drive, comfortable, and affordable, the Honda Accord has set the standard for what it means to be a midsize sedan. The Accord's interior offers an easy-to-use infotainment system and plenty of space across the entire cabin. With the Accord Sport, you can expect great handling and enough power to get you going on a freeway on-ramp. The 2020 Honda Accord Sport is a class leader and everything a midsize sedan should be.

If style were the only factor you should consider, the Mazda6 would outpace the competition by a lot. The 2020 Mazda6 pulls off near-luxury quality, thanks to its impressive ride comfort and smart attention to detail. We are fond of the infotainment system and its easy-to-use interface. With excellent handling and strong acceleration, the Mazda6 sedan is a joy to drive, and it should appeal if you're looking for a more exciting driving experience in your midsize sedan.

The redesigned 2020 Hyundai Sonata is easy on the eyes and full of the latest technology features. In addition to its segment-leading screen size, the Sonata's voice controls understand most natural language commands for the stereo, navigation, and phone. The highlight of these tech features is the optional remote parking assist, which lets the driver control and park the car using the key fob. The steering, handling, and ride quality are all acceptable, and whatever the Sonata might lack in the driving experience, it makes up for with tech features and driver aids.

The Toyota Camry is not just one of the most popular sedans right now—it's one of the most popular cars of all time. The 2020 Camry, with its aggressive styling, strong fuel economy, and a roomy cabin, is a midsize sedan that doesn't disappoint. The Camry offers a number of driver aids such as a 360-degree parking camera and an automatic emergency braking system. Like the Corolla, the Elantra isn't going to blow you away with its speed or acceleration. The steering is light at low speeds and firm on the highways so that you always feel in control. The 2020 Elantra has impressive EPA-estimated fuel economy, ranking near the top in its class. Taking a look inside, the Elantra's interior is pretty straightforward. The controls are laid out where they're supposed to be, and all the buttons and knobs are all easy to reach. Space is great up front, but taller passengers might hit their heads on the ceiling in the back. But there is an extra inch of legroom over the Corolla.

The Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra are two great options for your next used sedan. Used Corollas and used Elantras can be found at an affordable price point and provide a strong list of features and solid EPA-estimated gas mileage. Which of these used compact sedans is right for you might come down to personal preference. The 2020 Toyota Corolla has newer styling and a more comfortable ride. As far as technology goes, the Accord is equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, LED lighting, and a wireless phone charger. It also features the Honda Sensing package that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition.

There's a reason the Toyota Camry is the best-selling sedan in the U.S. The Camry's smooth ride, roomy interior, and abundance of trunk space are all features we've come to expect from a midsize sedan. New for 2020, Toyota added an all-wheel-drive option that had been absent from the Camry lineup since 1991. The Camry interior is a lesson in functionality and comfort. Let's get this out of the way: The Tesla Model Y is fast. The Model Y Performance's 0-60 mph time clocked in at a blistering 3.7 seconds at the Edmunds test track, making it one of the quickest EVs we've ever tested. But the Model Y isn't just about the speed. When it was released in 2020, the Model Y Long Range had an EPA-estimated range of up to 316 miles, while the Performance version had an estimated range between 291 and 315 miles. Current Model Ys have different range estimates since Tesla routinely updates the capabilities and features of its vehicles in over-the-air updates.

The Model Y interior is spacious, with lots of headroom and legroom for all passengers. Getting in and out is easy thanks to the wide-opening doors, tall roof, and low step-over height. Every Model Y comes standard with a 15-inch tablet style touchscreen that controls nearly everything. Aside from the steering wheel controls, there are no buttons or switches, so getting familiar with the touchscreen is mandatory. The Model Y's advanced driver aids include lane centering and blind-spot monitoring, plus a real-time digital map of all the cars and motorcycles around you.

If you're considering an EV, you're going to need a way to charge it. We highly recommend installing a Level 2 charger in your home so you can fully charge your EV overnight. Additionally, Tesla offers a wide-ranging Supercharger network where you can charge your Model Y for a fee. If all of that sounds daunting, we're here to assure you that it really isn't. Charging at a Supercharger station is one of the easier things about owning a Model Y.

There's a lot to consider before purchasing a used Tesla Model Y. Is the touchscreen user-friendly enough for you? Do you have the means to charge it? The Mazda 3 rounds out our list of best used sedans, even if it feels slightly out of place. The Mazda 3 is attractive with a sophisticated and upscale look. Many of its interior materials and controls have a premium feel and vibe. This attention to craftsmanship makes the Mazda 3's interior feel luxurious when compared to the cabins of rivals. The Mazda 3 also stands out for its performance on the road—it feels balanced, changes directions readily, and stays controlled around turns. The Mazda 3 is a pricier option than the rest of the sedans on this list, but if you're looking for a better driving experience, it's a great choice.

Technology and style were what Hyundai was aiming for when it redesigned the Sonata for the 2020 model year. And if Hyundai is listening, we'd like to say, "Well done." Hyundai gave the 2020 Sonata an aggressively styled grille with daytime running lights that stretch up over the hood. There's nothing boring or plain about it. Highlighting the new technology features is the remote parking assist system called Smart Park, which comes standard on the Limited trim and allows you to be outside while controlling the car. Hyundai's digital key app, also standard on Limited, even lets you use your phone as a key. Combine these features with a large touchscreen and excellent voice controls and you've almost got yourself a luxury sedan without the luxury price tag.

It's hard to go wrong with either of these midsize sedans. The Honda Accord does everything well and has aged like fine wine. The Hyundai Sonata has the aggressive styling and added technology that appeal to the modern driver. We like the Honda Accord for its enjoyable driving experience and roomier interior. But that's not to take anything away from the Sonata, which is less expensive than the Accord and has style to spare. But which one is for you?
