Nissan is elevating the performance capability of electric vehicles with its ...new twin-motor all-wheel-control technology called e-4ORCE and acoustic meta-material, a new sound insulation technology.
Toshiyuki Nakajima, general manager of advanced vehicle engineering department, explained the benefits of e-4ORCE technology that provides instant torque to all four wheels to deliver balanced, predictable power and handling on par with many premium sports cars.
While Susumu Miura, senior manager of advanced materials and processing laboratory research division, showed a new, lightweight noise-reducing material adding both quietness and efficiency to the electric driving experience.

Nissan is elevating the performance capability of electric vehicles with its ...new twin-motor all-wheel-control technology called e-4ORCE and acoustic meta-material, a new sound insulation technology.
Toshiyuki Nakajima, general manager of advanced vehicle engineering department, explained the benefits of e-4ORCE technology that provides instant torque to all four wheels to deliver balanced, predictable power and handling on par with many premium sports cars.
While Susumu Miura, senior manager of advanced materials and processing laboratory research division, showed a new, lightweight noise-reducing material adding both quietness and efficiency to the electric driving experience.

During the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan invited media ...from around the world to experience ProPILOT 2.0 - the world’s first driver assistance system to combine navigated highway driving with hands-off single-lane driving capabilities.
First seen on the new Nissan Skyline, the system is designed for on-ramp to off-ramp highway driving. ProPILOT 2.0 engages with the vehicle's navigation system to help maneuver the car according to a predefined route on designated roadways. It can also assist the driver with passing and changing lanes.

Nissan will unveil an all-new sedan and display two electrified concept vehicles at this year’s Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition, showing visitors how the company’s technologies and design are changing the ...future of mobility.
Visitors to the Shanghai show will also see a full range of current Nissan models, including the Lannia and Tiida, the legendary GT-R performance machine, and the world’s best-selling electric car – the Nissan LEAF. Nissan’s SUVs – the Kicks, Murano, Patrol, Qashqai, Terra and X-Trail – will round out the lineup of vehicles on display.
The 18th Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. The show is open to the public from April 18-25.

The Nissan e-POWER has been a hit with consumers in Japan, where it's helped make the Nissan Note the country's best-selling registered car. Combining 100% electric motor drive with a ...gasoline engine that charges the battery, e-POWER cars give customers instant, smooth acceleration and excellent fuel efficiency.
The e-POWER system includes a gasoline engine with a power generator, an inverter, a battery and an electric motor. Used solely to charge the high-output battery, the gasoline engine always runs at an optimal speed. This leads to superior fuel efficiency and lower emissions compared with a traditional internal combustion engine.
Currently, e-POWER is available in the Note and Serena models in Japan. More than 70% of Note sales and almost half of Serena sales in the country are e-POWER versions.
At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Nissan announced that it plans to debut the e-POWER technology in European markets by 2022.
The e-POWER system is a key part of Nissan’s electrification strategy. Nissan plans to launch more e-POWER models globally as part of its Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision for changing how cars are powered, driven and integrated into society.
