Privacy Policy

Shawn Ryder Digital ("I", "me") runs shawnryder.com. This page explains what information the site collects when you use it, what it's used for, and how to reach me about it. It applies to this website only — not to any dealership's own site or systems.

What I collect

Depending on how you use the site, this can include:

• Contact and audit requests. Name, email, phone, dealership name and any details you type into the contact or free-audit form.
• Newsletter signups. Email address, stored so I can send what you signed up for and nothing else.
• Free-tool inputs. The AI visibility check, crawler check, review-math calculator and review-response generator process what you type in — a dealership name, a market, or review text — to return a result. Review text you paste in is sent to an AI model to generate response drafts; it isn't used for anything beyond that request.
• Chat widget conversations. If you use the chat bubble, your messages and a session identifier are stored so the conversation has context and so I can review what visitors are asking. No account or login is required to use it.
• Basic usage analytics. Pages visited, referring source and general location (city-level, from IP) — collected only if a privacy-respecting analytics tool is active, and never used to build an advertising profile.

What I don't do

• I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
• I don't run third-party ad-retargeting pixels on this site.
• I don't use the free tools' inputs (dealership names, review text, chat messages) for anything beyond producing the result you asked for and improving how the tools work.

Where it's stored

Form submissions, chat conversations and tool usage are stored in a Supabase database (hosted in the cloud, access-controlled) and processed through Netlify's serverless functions. Where a free tool or the chat widget calls an AI model to generate a response, that request goes to OpenRouter, which routes it to the underlying model provider. None of these processors are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. A minimal, privacy-respecting analytics tool (Plausible or a self-hosted alternative) may be active to show aggregate traffic patterns — it doesn't use cookies or collect data that identifies you personally.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link in the message, any time.
• Request a copy or deletion of anything tied to your name, email or phone number by emailing me — see below.
• Skip the free tools or chat widget if you'd rather not have that input processed. Nothing on the site requires using them.

Who can see it

I'm the only person with regular access to what this site collects. It isn't shared with dealerships, advertisers or data brokers. The only outside parties involved are the infrastructure providers named above (Supabase, Netlify, OpenRouter), each processing data only to make the site function.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it's used changes materially, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. There's no separate notification list for policy updates — check back here if you want to know what changed.
